“Is New Orleans everything you thought it would be?” Raphael asked, leaning in close to me.
There was so much to take in. The live music. The dancing. The bonfire and the crawfish boil. The drinks. The lights. “It’s incredible,” I said. “Just like I always imagined it.”
Of course, we weren’t actually in New Orleans. We were in our backyard right here in the small town of Lake Boise, Louisiana. Last year, due to my broken leg, I’d missed the weekend my coworkers had spent in New Orleans. So my wonderful guys had thrown a big party and brought it to me.
It had been so much fun that we’d done it again this year, even though my leg was healed, and I could walk, run, dance, or best of all, roll around in the sack with my men.
“Having fun?” Our neighbor, Nana, brought her drink over and took a seat on the other side of me.
“Hell, yeah!”
“Me too.” Last year, Nana had also been recovering from an injury, and she’d been in a wheelchair. We toasted to our newfound health though I was fairly certain that she wasn’t going to end up in bed with three hot-as-sin men tonight. Though with Nana, you never knew.
Nana leaned in and spoke in what she thought was a whisper. “Since your leg’s all better, and since you’re not in your seventies, why aren’t you dancing with one of those handsome men you live with?”
“I will,” I assured her. Thought it might actually be a more horizontal dance later tonight after everyone left. Since Spencer was the elementary school principal, we had to hide our relationship. That was one of the downsides about a gathering like this—I had to remind myself over and over not to drool over my sexy guys. Most of the people in the crowd thought that I was the twins’ live-in nanny—despite the fact that I had two other jobs.
Hopefully the town gossips didn’t see anything wrong with me being at this party while the kids were actually at sleepaway camp with their class. Hey, even nannies deserved a break, right?
Raphael brought me another Sazerac, a deliciously potent New Orleans classic, and then went to help with the crawfish boil. It was funny to think that just over a year ago, I’d been freaked out by the idea of eating a crawfish. Now I loved Cajun food.
A drunk dancer nearly crashed into us, and I clamped my arm down on Nana’s to make sure we didn’t fall over. “Maybe we should go up on the deck,” she said. I helped her up the wooden stairs of the amazing deck that Flynn, a master woodworker and veterinarian, had made. I found Nana a seat at the table, made small talk with a few people, and then leaned out over the banister, looking at the crowd below.
A man with dark hair and dark eyes sat a little way off from the rest of the partygoers. Flynn wasn’t all that big on crowds. I moved off to the side of the deck closest to him, and though I was only about twenty feet away from him, there was no way he’d hear me over the crowd. But he could see me.
“Having fun?” I signed.
He set his drink down and signed back to me. “Are you? We did this for you.”
“Yes,” I signed back and then took a quick sip of my drink.
“Don’t drink too much,” he signed. “We have something special planned for you later.”
That sent a thrill of excitement through me. “Can you give me a hint?”
Flynn gave me his patented—and extremely hot—evil smirk. “For a price.”
For a moment, an angel and a devil battled it out inside mind. It was clear Flynn was up to something, and that could be dangerous with all these people about. Then again, no one was over on this side of the deck, and it wasn’t like most of our guests spoke American Sign Language. “What’s the price?”
“Go inside and take off your panties.”
I hesitated. I was wearing a tight, short skirt, not because that was truly my style, but because that kind of thing drove my men wild. Would anyone notice if I didn’t have anything under my skirt? I glanced back down.
Flynn was glaring up at me using a mock-stern look that always made me wet. “You have forty-five seconds,” he signed. “Better hurry.”
That got me moving. I dashed inside and made a beeline for the bathroom, but it was occupied. Moving a hundred times faster than I would’ve been able to last year, I dashed up the stairs. I didn’t even bother running into Spencer’s bedroom. There was no one up here, so I tore off my panties, stashed them in the linen closet, and ran back downstairs.
When I arrived at the edge of the deck again, Flynn made a show of looking at his watch and shaking his head. He was going to make me pay for that later—or at least I hoped he would.
Casually, he drifted closer until he was standing at the base of the deck, one story below me. His brown eyes stared up at me, and I knew what he wanted—proof that I’d done what he said.
Trying to act casual, I shifted my feet to either side. People stood with their legs shoulder-width apart occasionally, didn’t they? Feeling both foolish and turned on, I glanced down at Flynn. He gave me a thumbs up and made a gesture that wasn’t sign language—it was decidedly more crass than that. Then he jerked his head to the side, indicating that I should come down.
Oh god. He wanted me down there with all those people when I wasn’t wearing panties? Suddenly my skirt felt way too short and tight. I’d been okay with that when I was wearing panties, and when I’d seen the admiring looks of my guys. But now… hell. I downed the rest of my drink for liquid courage. Then I made my way down the stairs while keeping my legs tightly clamped together.
Moving through a rowdy crowd without panties on was a new experience. One blond guy called me baby and tried to dance with me. He put his hand on my waist and then slid it down to squeeze my ass before I shoved him away. Thank god Flynn didn’t see that, he would’ve punched him. Maybe Raphael and Spencer would have, too.
As I made my way past the picnic tables to get a better vantage point to see the musicians, a long arm snaked out. Spencer grabbed my wrist and guided me onto the picnic bench next to him. I knew that if we’d been alone, he would’ve pulled me onto his lap.
“Enjoying the show?” I asked him. Even though most people here thought he was my employer, I couldn’t quite hide the smile that appeared every time I saw him.
“I am,” he said. “Both the musicians and the other show I saw.”
“The other show?”
He waved his hand in the direction of the deck. “There were these two people over that way, and they were signing back and forth to each other. It was quite entertaining.”
My blush flooded my cheeks. “You saw that?”
“I did,” he said smugly. “And so did the army vet I was talking to who’d sustained some hearing loss during combat.”
“What?” My head twisted in all directions, trying to figure out who he meant. Had a perfect stranger really witnessed my exchange with Flynn? Then I saw the smirk on Spencer’s face.
“You jerk.” I smacked my hand across his hard abs. Ouch.
“You never know who may be listening… or watching.”
I shook my head, pretending to be mad at him, but he knew the truth. The checkered tablecloth on the picnic table behind me blew in the wind, and I could feel it against my skirt. Then it happened again. I glanced up at Spencer, who was pointedly looking the other way. But his arm had dipped down behind him and was currently behind me.
I gulped. Hopefully the tablecloth hid where his fingers were—which was on my ass. Spencer watched the musicians with a smile on his face and then waved at someone across the yard with his other hand. If you didn’t know him any better, you’d have no idea what he was doing. I tried not to groan when his long fingers squeezed my cheek.
He leaned a little closer, making the movement look casual. “Lift up,” he whispered.
Oh my god. I hesitated for a couple of seconds and then shifted my weight up and slightly forward. Spencer tugged the fabric of my skirt out from under me, and when I sat back down, my bare skin was pressed against the bench—and his hand was pressed against me.
Crap, this was dangerous. Spencer squeezed first one cheek, then the other. I was fairly hopeful that no one heard my moans over the lively music, but there was no doubt I was a moaner. The guys teased me about it all the time and made it their personal mission in life to make me moan louder.
Then a long finger slid directly between my cheeks, following the crack of my ass and I yelped, slamming back against the table so hard that I heard something fall over. Spencer chuckled, and I couldn’t quite decide whether to duck away from him or move closer.
Luckily Raphael decided for me. He appeared out of nowhere, a stern look on his face. He crouched down between us, like he wanted to make sure he was heard over the music, but it was really so that he wouldn’t be overheard. “Would you two be good?” he hissed. “Remember, we don’t want to have to sneak out of town in the middle of the night.”
“Sorry,” I mumbled.
Raphael rolled his eyes, but I could tell he wasn’t really mad. “You, go get people drinks,” he ordered Spencer. “And you,” he turned to me, “Flynn needs to go check on that pregnant mule. Go with him and take a cold shower if you need to, but when you come back, you’d better be good.”
“I will,” I said, chagrined. Spencer and Raphael left, and I tugged my skirt down before getting up. Flynn was waiting by the tree line, and I grinned as I joined him. Raphael was crazy if he thought that Flynn and I going off alone was a way to calm my arousal.
When we were out of sight of the crowd, Flynn took my hand and led me into the barn. “Are we really here to check on a pregnant mule?” I asked him.
“Yes.” Flynn strode over to a stall in the far corner, pulling me with him. He peered over the edge of the stall, said, “Yep, still pregnant.” Then he grabbed me, pinning me against a bale of hay lining the back wall.
Instantly, his mouth was on mine and his hand was under my skirt. My legs parted at the same time my lips did. His tongue plunged into me and he nudged my legs with his foot, making me spread them wider.
My moans filled the barn as he ravished my mouth. Then he pushed two fingers inside me, quite roughly, but I was wet as hell and ready for him. I clung to his broad shoulders as he worked me hard, pumping his thick fingers in and out. “Rub your clit,” he growled against my mouth.
I plunged my hand between our bodies and within seconds, found the right spot. I gasped for breath as the sensations became overwhelming. “Harder,” Flynn grunted as he palmed my ass and ground his erection against my hip.
Frantic for release, I rubbed my clit harder—I was so damn close—and then everything stopped. Flynn slid his fingers out of me and took a step back even as I reached for him. “What are you doing? Don’t stop,” I begged, but he just smirked at me. Though he was rock hard, apparently he was okay with forgoing his own pleasure if it meant he got to watch me moan and squirm.
“That’s your punishment for going to a party with no panties on,” he said.
My head almost exploded. “You told me to do that!”
“Did I?” He tried to sound innocent, but it was impossible for a man with his dark good looks. “Then it’s to get you in the mood for our plans tonight after everyone goes home.” He rubbed his cock hard through his jeans for a few seconds and then stopped, as if taunting me about how easy it was to stop cold turkey when you were so turned on.
But it wasn’t easy at all. “I hate you,” I said, knowing he wouldn’t believe me.
“No, you don’t.”
“I’m not even going to participate in whatever you three have planned tonight.”
“Yes, you will.” He smirked at me while he brought his fingers to his mouth, inhaling deeply. Then, without breaking eye contact, he licked my juices off his index and middle finger while I sulked. If he wanted to taste me so badly, he could’ve finished the job he started. Or hell, he could’ve gotten down on his knees, thrown my leg over his shoulder, and gotten it right from the source.
“Are you coming?” he asked. “Or are you going to hang out here and talk to the mule about what bastards men are? She’s pretty uncomfortable, so she’ll probably agree with you.”
“I haven’t decided yet.” I tried to glare at him, but my mind was already wondering what wicked things the three of them had planned for tonight.
Once our guests were gone, we cleaned up what we could until Spencer called it a night. “We’ve got the food and trash cleared away, so that won’t encourage any critters to stop by. We can leave the rest for tomorrow when it’s light.”
I was glad he said that because it had been a long day—and I sincerely hoped it was going to be a long night. I followed Raphael over to the steps that led up to the deck. “After you,” he said.
Automatically, I started to go ahead, but then I stopped. “This whole ladies first thing seems a bit outdated. You don’t have to let me go first just because I’m a woman.”
Raphael shook his head. “I didn’t invite you to go first because you’re a woman. I invited you to go first because you’re a woman who’s not wearing any panties.”
“Oh.” I had no idea how to respond to the wicked gleam in his eyes, so I clamped my hands down on either side of my skirt, trying not to giggle as I ran up the stairs.
When Spencer joined us at the top, he looked amused at the exchange Raphael and I had had. But then he put his finger under my chin and tilted my head up. “We need about an hour to get ready. Why don’t you go upstairs and take a nice bath?”
I grinned. That bathtub was nicer than the one downstairs.
Then Rafe put his hand on the small of my back. “When you’re done, put on a bra, panties, a skirt, blouse, and heels.”
Turning, I raised an eyebrow at him. “That’s oddly specific.”
Flynn was right behind Rafe, and he gave me a wolfish grin. “Yeah, it is. Maybe, if you’re lucky, you’ll find out why.”
I rolled my eyes and went inside, trying not to let them see how curious I was about what they had planned. I suspect I failed, big time.
A little over an hour later, Spencer entered the room we now shared. I looked up from the book I was holding and smiled. He came over, pulled me to my feet and looked me up and down. “You’re stunning.”
I beamed up at him. “You look pretty damn good yourself.” He had on a blue-gray button-down shirt that was rolled up to reveal his powerful forearms. His camel-colored knee-length shorts didn’t hide his powerful thighs. And he wore leather sandals on his feet. Until I’d met him, I’d never thought that men could look sexy with most of their feet bare like that, but he did.
Reaching up, I cupped the back of his head and pulled him down for a kiss. When our mouths met, I let my hands stray all over his powerful body and ended up giving him a squeeze on his cute ass, both because I wanted to and because he’d done that to me today.
I could tell he had half a mind to throw me onto his bed and join me, but he finally pulled away. “I don’t want to get your pretty clothes all messed up,” he said with a grin. “That’s not for me to do, it’s for us to do.” He winked and held out his arm. “Shall we?”
I stumbled to a stop when Spencer led me into the living room. It looked entirely different than it had an hour ago. For one thing, all the blinds and curtains were drawn, even on sliding glass doors that led to the deck. We never covered those. Secondly, most of the furniture had been pushed back against the walls, leaving a large open space in the middle of the room.
“What’s all this?” I asked, turning in a slow circle. “Are we staging a circus?”
Flynn snorted, and Raphael laughed. “That guess isn’t as far off as you’d think,” Rafe said. Then he took my hand and led me to the middle of the open area. “To continue our New Orleans theme, we wanted to expose you to another tradition around these parts.”
Since Raphael was the only one of the four of us originally from here, he would know, but I’d noted the way he’d put a slight emphasis on the word expose and wondered exactly how authentic this tradition was.
Flynn, who was sitting on the arm of the couch, tossed something small and colorful to Raphael, who caught it and held it in his palm. “I assume you’re familiar with the beads thrown from Mardi Gras floats?”
My breath caught. “Are they the ones where you have to flash the person who threw them to you?”
Raphael grinned. “You don’t have to, but it’s sure a lot more fun if you do. But anyway, that’s not quite the plan tonight.” He jostled the string of plastic beads in his hand. “This is from my culture. Now, we want to incorporate something from your culture.”
I blinked. “My culture? You mean Colorado? Surely you don’t think I’ll flash you if you throw snowballs at me?”
He chuckled. “Nope. And this thing is more of a part of your own personal culture, not your home state’s. Spencer?”
Feeling thoroughly confused, I glanced over at the tall single dad. He reached behind the sofa and pulled out around a dozen brightly colored rings. “Are those Hula Hoops?”
He grinned. “Back during that first week you were with us, you told the twins that you could keep a hoop going on your waist, foot, arm, or even your neck. Is that true or were you just making it up?”
I gave him a smug smile and held my hand out. “Let’s find out.”
“Not just yet,” Raphael said. “As I said, we’re going to blend two cultural traditions into one. We’re going to take turns tossing a hoop in your direction. If you catch it and twirl it for thirty seconds, that’s a win for you. If you let it fall, that’s a win for us, and you have to flash us—or, more specifically, take off one article of clothing.”
“Wait.” I held up my hand. “Does that mean that at some point—I’ll be hula hooping without my clothes on?”
Spencer smirked. “Only if you keep dropping them.”
“Naked hula hooping?” I repeated. I didn’t even want to imagine all the jiggling that would cause. “Are you guys really that perverted?”
“Yes,” Flynn said, sounding a little offended that I’d had to ask. “Have you ever even met us before?”
I rolled my eyes. “When do you guys get naked?”
“When we can’t stand it anymore,” Raphael said.
“Tell her the good part,” Flynn urged.
“Oh yeah. If you don’t catch it and one of us gets the hoop completely around you, like it touches the floor like in a ring-toss, then you immediately stop and give that man a blowjob.”
Shit, why did that excite me so much? Other than the fact that they each had amazing cocks and I loved making them groan with pleasure? “All right, but here’s my part of the deal. If I catch at least two thirds of the rings and keep them going for thirty seconds, then I win outright. And that means every morning until the twins come back, I want breakfast in bed,” I said, with a glance at Raphael. “And a scalp massage in bed,” I said to Flynn. “And oral in bed,” I said to Spencer. He grinned, seeming honored I’d saved that one for him.
“Deal,” he said. “Shall we begin?”
Then I walked into the center of the room, spread my arms out wide, and said, “Do your worst.”
Spencer tossed the first one, and I stuck my arm out, letting it hit my forearm. It didn’t take much to get it spinning. Then Flynn threw one, and I caught it on my other arm. While my men watched, I made the hoops circle my arms in unison. Then, with a slight shift of my muscles, I got them spinning the opposite way.
Three mouths hung open when I dropped the hoops on the floor, figuring it had been at least thirty seconds.
“Where’d you learn to do that?” Spencer asked.
“I just practiced. I always liked juggling and trying out quirky things rather than organized sports.” My memory of gym classes over the years weren’t good ones. “Come on, next one.”
Flynn threw the hoop and it stayed parallel through the ground as it arced through the air. One side skimmed my hair and then it encircled my head. Flynn cheered, thinking he was going to get lucky, but I jerked my shoulder out, redirecting the hoop, and soon, it circled my neck. Grinning at the astonished men, I lifted the still-spinning hoop and transferred it from hand to hand above my head, keeping it going the whole time. Then I tossed it to the ground.
Kicking off my shoes, I asked Spencer to throw a low one.
“At least we got her to take something off,” he grumbled. Then he obliged, throwing a hoop at my legs. I caught it with my ankle and then began spinning it around, jumping with my other foot. It felt like half skipping, half jumping rope.
“Guess I’m going to be giving a lot of scalp massages,” Flynn said, watching my feet move quickly and rhythmically. “I’m going to have to ice my hands.”
“Hands are nothing, I’m probably going to sprain my tongue,” Spencer complained, and I laughed without missing a beat. “What about you, Raphael? Are you going to get tired of making her breakfast in bed?”
“No.” He was staring at the way my feet were flying over the floor.
I let the hoop stop spinning and settle on the ground. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” he said, still looking down. “I’m just really glad that you’re able to do that.”
“It just takes practice. I could—”
“No.” Now he looked up at me and smiled. “I mean I’m glad, after everything that happened last year, that you’re able to run and jump and do incredibly complicated things with hoops.”
Oh. His words actually made me tear up a little. The other guys, and me too, had been thinking of wicked things. But Raphael was just grateful that my leg was as good as new. I padded over to him and gave him a big kiss. Then I stepped back. “Shall we finish the game?”
Flynn sighed. “Don’t see much point—we know you’re going to win.”
“You never know. Why don’t you all three throw a hoop, one after another?”
“Okay.” Flynn shrugged.
I held my hands up above my head, and Spencer’s hoop landed cleanly around me. I caught it before it could fall past my waist and started undulating my hips, spinning it. Then I caught Flynn’s the same way. Then Spencer’s. Soon, I had three hoops orbiting my waist.
“Damn, you’re good,” Spencer said. He seemed to enjoy seeing my hips work back and forth—but then they slowed. One hoop slipped past my hips since I was moving so much slower. Then it slid to my knees, a second one falling down, too. Then I stilled my movements all together and all three hoops fell to the ground.
“Uh-oh,” I said in a mock-concerned voice, but I couldn’t quite hide my grin. “I guess I owe some men some blowjobs” Three grins met my words. “Who wants to be first?”
Spencer put one long finger to his chin, tapping it as if lost in thought. “Well, the only fair way would be—the one who gets to the bed the fastest.” He said the last words in a rush and used his long legs to propel himself to the stairs.
Raphael and Flynn were hot on his heels, and I laughed my ass off as I followed more slowly. As they thundered up the stairs, jockeying for position, I couldn’t help thinking about how lucky I was. Spencer, Raphael, and Flynn were handsome as sin, that was for sure. But more than that, deep down, they were genuinely good men. They were good with the twins. And with Nana. And with me.
I loved them with all my heart, and the fact that they loved me back made me the luckiest woman ever.
Grinning, I walked into the bedroom and leaped into the center of the bed, joining the tangle of arms and legs. There was lust, I could smell it in the air. But there was fun and mischief, too.
But most of all, there was love.
As I said, I was the luckiest woman in the world—even if it took getting hit by a car to get here.
This was where I belonged.
