“Lisa sent over a new costume for you to wear today, Holly.”
“She did?” I was about to get changed, but instead I leave my closet to find Nick and Rudy in my bedroom. Nick’s holding up a garment that barely looks long enough to reach the tops of my thighs. It’s a little nightie with bra cups on the top and a flowy part beneath, all of it in sheer red fabric trimmed with white fur.
They’re both surprised when I burst out laughing. “What’s so funny?”
We all know the Mrs. Claus lingerie wasn’t sent by the animal shelter director, but that’s not why I’m laughing.
Felix and Jasper come in to see what’s going on, and I hold up a finger, gesturing for all four of them to wait. “I’ll be right back.”
My purchases are hidden in the closet behind a box of summer clothes that I still haven’t unpacked since we moved in, so it takes me a minute to find them. When I return to the bedroom, Jasper and Rudy are sitting on my bed, both petting Cupid. The dogs have come in too, and are lying near Nick’s and Felix’s feet.
“We had the same thought,” I say as I randomly hand a box to each of the men.
There are groans and laughter as they find the underwear inside, each one different. Rudy received the least risqué of the bunch, red velvet boxers with a black belt at the top, fur trimming on the legs, and black buttons on the front. Nick got the red velvet thong decorated with a small white bowtie and two jingle bells.
Felix is holding the Buffalo plaid-patterned boxers with mistletoe printed over the pouch that will hold his goods, and Jasper ended up with my silliest find, which consists only of a red band to go around his waist and a brown velvet reindeer—complete with antlers and a red nose—to hold his cock. The reindeer has a long snout but I hope it’s big enough to contain the equipment that Jasper was gifted with.
Felix scratches his head as he looks around at the assortment of festive underwear. “We can wear these to the park, but I’m pretty sure we’ll be arrested.”
“No way I can hide this under my elf tights,” Jasper says, shaking his head.
“I guess we’ll have to save it all for later.” I collect the Mrs. Claus nightie and go in search of a hanger for it. A moment later, my big walk-in closet becomes crowded.
“Need help getting changed?” Nick’s hands roam over my hips and bottom.
I turn and wrap my hands around his neck, pressing my body to his.“It’s so handy how someone around here is always eager to help me remove my clothes.”
Someone else’s hands pull the back of my shirt up as more bodies press in close. “Yes, we’re very handy that way,” Rudy says.
“Did you say handsy?” Felix asks.
Rudy cups my breasts, sliding his fingers inside my bra. “Handy, handsy. We have it all covered.”
When yet another hand reaches between my legs, I let out a breath. “We don’t have long.”
“We don’t need long,” Jasper says.
“Just remember, I need to be able to stand up at the park. I can’t have you making my legs go limp like noodles.”
A hard bulge nudges my hip, another one pokes the side of my bottom. Nick tugs me closer to him so his erection presses into my belly. “Nothing limp around here,” he says before he kisses me.
My four men work together to remove my clothing with an efficiency honed over nearly a year of steady practice. They get me off almost as quickly, not once, but three times, before they finally let me show them some of the same treatment.
We generally take our time—it’s not uncommon that we spend hours in the bedroom—but we can’t be late for volunteering.
Luckily, I’ve learned exactly what brings each of them the most pleasure, and I take them two at a time in the ways they like best.
After everyone’s thoroughly sated, we take quick showers in separate bathrooms, get dressed, and assemble downstairs.
There was no fighting over roles this year. Instead, the men tossed a coin for who would be on Santa duty first and Nick won. He’s the only one not in costume, because he’ll get changed at the community center. We all pile into our big, new family truck with Rudy behind the wheel, and head out.
Up front, between elves Rudy and Jasper with their skin-tight candy-cane-striped leggings, I’m hit with a flood of memories from one year ago.
Jasper catches me looking at him. “What?”
“I’m just thinking back to my first impressions of all of you.”
Felix leans forward from the back seat. “What, that we were all devastatingly handsome?”
“Well, yes, that was definitely my immediate impression.”
Jasper’s trying to read my eyes. “What else?”
“At first, you all seemed so different. The pairs of you, I mean. When we all met in Lisa’s office, I couldn’t help but notice the contrasts between you and Felix, and Nick and Rudy.”
Jasper looks curious but sounds amused when he says, “Tell us more.”
Suddenly, I realize I’ve already said too much. My early opinions of these men were so simplistic. It didn’t take long to learn that they were all so much more than the stereotypes I first labeled them with.
“Yes,” Nick says. “What were these first impressions?”
There’s no backing out of this conversation now, and I’ll always be honest with them, just like they are with me. “This is going to sound silly, but in my mind, you and Rudy were the nice brothers, and Jasper and Felix were the naughty ones.” I cover my eyes and groan. “I didn’t know any of you yet, and with the different ways you were dressed, and—” I turn to Jasper, then Felix—”the way you looked at me with sex eyes, and invited me to come to Club Red to see you take your clothes off. Those were my first impressions.”
Felix arches a dark brow. “Naughty versus nice, huh?”
“Of course, you’re all unique individuals. The broad strokes I first painted you with are long gone.”
An uncomfortable silence follows, and I kick myself for bringing it up. Are they taking offense at how I categorized them? I’m tempted to ask, but don’t want to risk digging myself into a deeper hole.
At the park, Rudy drops Nick off at the community center and pulls around to the parking lot, where the rest of us get out.
After last year’s success, Lisa has expanded the event, adding a booth for hot cocoa and cookies, and craft tables for kids. We’re immediately drawn into a flurry of activity as a crew of volunteers rushes around to get things ready.
When the time comes, Santa Nick makes his arrival, waving to all the children with a jolly laugh. Before he takes his seat, however, the trio of oversized elves—Rudy, Jasper, and Felix—surround him and the four of them talk in hushed tones.
This alone would seem a little strange, but paranoia kicks in when the men glance in my direction more than once. I distinctly get the impression that they’re talking about me, but when Felix joins me at the head of the picture line, he brushes off my concern with a big grin.
Santa Nick doesn’t look happy though. Though much of his face is hidden beneath the big white beard, his eyes are unsmiling until the first child approaches for a picture. As if a switch goes off, his eyes squint into a big smile and he greets the child warmly.
After I take the first set of pictures, I glance over at Jasper and Rudy, who are working at the framing and donation table. Jasper’s smiling, but Rudy looks disturbed, and the uneasy feeling in my stomach gets worse.
Did the things I talked about on the way over somehow stir up old resentments between the men? I can’t imagine that’s the case—the two sets of brothers are all great friends now, so close that it’s almost like the four of them are brothers from the same family—but I don’t know what else would have caused this sudden change in their moods.
Thanks to the craft table activities, there’s a lull in the picture line after the first couple of people are through. I take the opportunity to approach Nick, who’s scowling again as he adjusts his beard.
I straighten the angle of his thick white moustache. “Is everything okay?”
“Everything’s great, babe, though it’d be better if you were in my lap.” He tugs at the edge of my apron, sending me off balance and onto his knee as one of his arms wraps around my waist.
From the corner of my eye, I spot a family approaching for a photo, and I leap out of his lap. “We need to get back to work, Santa.” Before I leave him, I search his face and whisper, “Are you sure everything’s all right?”
He nods once, his eyes fixed on my lips. “Hurry back, Mrs. Claus.”
Meanwhile, Felix is still smiling broadly when I get back to my post. “Do you have candy canes for these good children?” he asks, gesturing to the boy and girl who are wearing matching holiday pajamas for the picture.
After I take the photos and there’s another break in the line, I reach for Felix’s arm. “Did you and Jasper get into an argument with Nick and Rudy?” Felix’s brows lift as he shakes his head. “Because you don’t seem quite like yourself.”
He shrugs at this, but still doesn’t say anything. If they are arguing, I wonder if he would try to hide it from me.
As the photo line gets busier, I can’t fully shake the feeling that something’s off. I steal glances at Rudy and Jasper, but somehow I’m still caught unawares when Jasper suddenly appears at my side, offering me a drink cup. “Thought you might like some cocoa, Holly.”
“Thank you.”
As I’m taking a tentative sip, not sure how hot it’ll be, he straightens my cap. “You look cute in this outfit.”
“T-thank you.” The compliment catches me off guard because I’m not sure I’ve ever heard Jasper use the word cute before.
He taps my nose with the tip of his finger, then wanders over to one of the craft tables, delighting the kids who are there making ornaments with popsicle sticks.
Felix comes over then, taking note of the hot cocoa. “Are you cold, Holly? Want me to bring your cloak?”
“No, thanks. I’m fine.” Touched by his thoughtfulness, I make sure no one’s looking, then stretch to give him a kiss. I aim for his lips, but he turns at the last second and my kiss lands on his cheek.
He wags a finger at me. “You can’t be caught fooling around with the elves, Mrs. Claus.”
The morning goes by in a weird rhythm, with extremely busy periods mingled with gaps. Right after I finish taking pictures of a trio of poodles who pose adorably with Nick, someone puts their hand on my back and something green dangles down in front of me.
Just as I recognize the mistletoe, Rudy slides his arm around my waist and pulls me into a delicious kiss that lingers. When he finally pulls away, he doesn’t let me go.
“How are things going with the frames?”
He licks his lip, then frowns. “It’s boring.” I wait for him to smile, but he doesn’t.
“Is there anything wrong between you men?”
Still frowning, he shakes his head. He slides his hand lower, gives my bottom a pinch, then walks off.
Early in the afternoon, Santa Nick takes a break, and Jasper takes over the role. The elder Winter brother looks thrilled to be playing Santa, and waves at me as soon as he sits down.
I ask the next group to wait a moment, then go over to him. “Do you need anything?”
“Nope, just saying hi. Are you doing okay? Are your feet getting tired?”
We both look down at the comfortable black flats I’m wearing. “My feet are fine. Have fun, Santa.”
When Nick returns, he insists on replacing Felix as the line helper. As I’m watching Felix walk off toward the framing table, Nick tugs at a strand of my hair that must have escaped the wig.
“I’ve been watching you all morning,” he says. “I’ve been thinking about how I can’t wait to get you home and take your clothes off.”
“Oh!” His eyes seem to be taking my clothes off right now, and I feel a blush rise to my cheeks, reminding me of the extra makeup I used to wear last year.
Nick does his job helping to keep the line running smoothly, but he’s next to me every chance he gets. At one point, he bumps into me, and I swear it’s on purpose. He catches me before I fall, then keeps me in his arms so long, we get some funny looks from people standing nearby.
He whispers dirty things to me repeatedly, and touches me so frequently, that I’m fully hot and bothered by the time the event ends and the crowds clear out.
When I go to put away the tablet I’ve been using to take pictures, I find Felix alone by a table. The sun is low in the sky now, and it catches him just right, giving a golden glow to his muscles and the angles of his face, and making me want to tackle him and have my way with him.
I move in close and slide my hand under his tunic, right over the bulge in his striped leggings. “Hey, stud. I can’t wait to lick your candy cane.”
Felix, who’s never ever been one to resist an advance, steps back. “We can’t do that here.”
Obviously, I wasn’t actually planning to do that here, and he knows it. We’re next to a stack of boxes, and no one is around to see where my hand was. Something is seriously wrong. “Have I upset you? Did the stuff I said in the car this morning bother you?”
Felix’s mouth rounds in surprise, and he immediately pulls me into a hug. “Oh, no, darling. Come here.” He holds me close, and rubs my back. “Nothing’s wrong. I promise.”
Someone squeezes my shoulder. Someone else caresses my arm. When I look up, I’m surrounded by all four of my men, all of them looking concerned and asking if I’m okay.
“You’ve all been acting so strange,” I say. “What’s going on?”
Felix tucks me under his arm and turns me so that I can see all of them. “We’re sorry, babe. We just thought it would be fun.”
“Thought what would be fun?”
“We decided to switch roles,” Jasper says. “Felix and I have been aiming for the top of the nice list today.”
“And Nick and I decided to be naughty,” Rudy says.
The scowling, the hair pulling, the hot cocoa, concern about my feet … I think back over all the strange, out-of-character behavior. “You’re all nice, every day, and you’re naughty in all the right ways. None of you needs to change a thing.”
“We know, babe, and we’re sorry for acting weird.” Felix kisses the side of my forehead. “I guess today proved we do fit in certain roles more than we realize.”
“I just want you all to be yourselves.”
As they’re each kissing me and giving me reassurances, along with some whispers about how naughty they’re all going to be when we get home, Lisa calls for us.
“Can I get a group picture of the five of you for our newsletter?” she asks.
We pose in front of a group of Christmas trees, Santa Jasper and I in the center, surrounded by elves Rudy, Felix, and Nick. Lisa takes several shots, and in some of them, all the men are touching me, arms around my shoulders and my waist, all of us connected.
I can’t wait to frame the picture and hang it next to our tree at home. Maybe my creative and handy men will even recreate the image, full size, in painted wooden figures we can put out on the lawn next Christmas, and for all the years to come.
